a bit of fun

I have been a good boy of late, working hard and keeping myself up to date, running around on corporate shoots and weddings. So just to make myself happy and for the sheer fun of it I offered my help to a group of friends who were making a short film.
Its zero budget (I rarely do this but hey its fun), the film is being done simply for the fun of doing it, so I figured why not. it has given me a chance to watch other people who are not in the business work at a film just for the joy of doing it.
Something I miss: the simple fun of dong something, so thank you Cameron, Stuart, Nitram and Gary for letting me be involved. (all of whom can be seen in the pictures).
photoshoots
I spent my weekend working as always it was a worthwhile time. Saturday was the wedding of Leona, a classic and beautiful wedding that went easily from my point of view. We had our little jokes (Leona and I had worked on her look twice before and had found a rapport). In my capacity as make up artist I was asked to step in and help out by fixing the veil and train in place.
So once again I was the bridesmaid and not the bride.
Sunday was the first time I had been in Contrast studio's for a while. I have been studiously avoiding Glasgow for various reasons of late, yep I pass through to get to work in Edinburgh,, running from central to Queen Street and back, but I rarely stay to shop or socialise anymore. So the chance to catch up with an old friend, Con, was to good to miss. Especially given that Contrast studio's is my favourite studio to work in, me and Con spend time in the office chatting an snickering, talking about work, life and all the vague details that make us laugh, just wanted I needed that day.
The shoot was theme based and gave me the opportunity to step and be a "model" again. The shoot was based on a beauty pageant, Nicki (who organised the shoot) came second place and made the winner suffer! All in good fun of course, the girls were all friends and had a good time play acting as nemesis for the shoot.
My job was to step in and hand over the crown to the winner and then step out.
So thank you girls for giving me the chance to model again even for that brief moment I was once again a character model.
Once I have the photo's I wll post them.
Sacrifice models

I have been talking to Chris, the organiser/owner of sacrifice models for a while now by email, phone and text, and finally today I got to put a face to the name.
Chris asked me to come along to the video shoot for his new band, an egyptian heavy metal group (how cool is that)!
I headed along to the beach at Adrossan and took some pics which have now been passed along to Chris. It was a weird expereince seeing everyone, both new friends and familar faces, yes alternative models I know alot.
Here's a little sneak peek (forgive my friend Miss Luna for being naughty)!
All those mosty water coloured memories I now have.....
